I am a first time entrant in health insurance. I am an engineering professional based MNC and have a good corporate health cover for my family. I was curious to have a personal health cover but didn't know how to approach. A common friend introduced me to Shashank, during initial chat learnt that we happened to work together in a French MNC many years back. He patiently understood my family details including that of my parents who are senior citizens and shared valuable guidance to make an informed decision for personal health cover & how to plan for my parents health care. With the inputs from Shashank, I did my own research and discussed details with my parents & wife on next steps. I am happy to testify that I received objective inputs and support from him. I took HDFC Ergo Optima Secure+ policy. The reasons I decided to go for HDFC Ergo after evaluating entire industry are as follows: 1. HDFC Ergo has strongest credentials in health insurance. Their policy of Optima Secure+ is innovative & designed keeping insured's family in mind 2. I loved the feature of getting double the insurance cover on day 1 and getting 100% bonus on sum insured every year whether there is claim or not - many insurers hold bonus if there is any claim. 3. This health cover is crystal clear with no limits on room, sub-disease, consumables, bonus, unlimited auto-tops in a policy year. 4. The real value of insurer is seen due to the fact that it offers reimbursement of annual health expenses - this wasy we can keep a check on our health 5. Last but certainly not least, Shashank’s guidance is both exceptionally professional and wonderfully friendly. He stands out for his efficiency and absolute transparency, making communication seamless and clear.

I've been with Star Health for many years, but with medical costs rising and the news around them, I started looking for a better health cover for my family of three. Living in Mumbai makes medical costs an even bigger concern. I reached out to Shashank, a former industry colleague who now runs his own financial advisory practice, for guidance. The outcome has been something I will always value. A summary is below: - Higher cover for a modest increase: Roughly a 10% rise in annual premium took our cover from ₹12 lakh to ₹40 lakh, with 100% bonus accumulation every year, keeping us ahead of medical inflation. - Clear choice of insurer: HDFC ERGO stood out for its strong, consistent performance and high claim settlement ratio. Reviewing IRDAI data on claims performance and processing ease was an eye-opener, and HDFC ERGO was clearly the stronger option. - Restrictions removed: Our previous policy had room rent limits and sub-limits on diseases and consumables. Shifting to Optima Secure resolves all of these. - Added benefits: We can now claim reimbursement of up to ₹10,000 for the annual health check-up, and enjoy unlimited auto top-up if the base cover is exhausted.
