HDFC ERGO in their awareness survey through activities across media segment / channel , we found that higher resonance in order of recall amongst were Farmer Meetings > Poster > WhatsApp > TV > Hoarding. This preference also talks about the nature of communication , and change in preference and ecosystem along with shelf life of communication. Most of farmers are equipped with digital ecosystem , so there is clear preference of it , Also with communication through poster and hoarding has higher shelf life and constant nudge , so they too leave the impression of information. This is followed by age old traditional interpersonal play which is farmer meeting.

HDFC ERGO ran a focused digital initiative on social media platform to improve the scheme awareness . From a period of Jan 25 to Dec 25 , we had over 250 focused creative targeting different facet of PMFBY journey of farmer .These areas include aspect from claims , service , grievance , enrolment and other related areas of PMFBY . The cumulative reach of our post was around 96 lacs , with 5.26 lacs impression followed by 3.75 lacs engagement . This journey led by support of state and central team paves a new way in targeted promotion of scheme in the new world dominated by complex web of social media .

HDFC ERGO, in order to strengthen its IEC journey , conducted a focused survey in 6 states , spanning across 750 plus farmers from 25 districts and 300 plus villages across our allocated cluster. In our allocated states, we observed that overall, 17.6 % awareness was of the scheme on weighted average basis. Few states amongst our cluster Haryana , Chhattisgarh and Jharkhand had higher level of awareness, while the state of Tamil Nadu , Uttarpradesh and Madhya Pradesh had lower awareness amongst farmers. Of the three segment of farmer interviewed Haryana state showed highest level of awareness amongst all farmer segment.
